Economics of surveillance conducted in the One Health context
The project aims to develop a general framework for economic evaluation of surveillance for One Health and to conduct case studies to validate the approach.
Collaboration in the management of infectious diseases, particularly zoonoses, but also more general emphasis of synergies between animal and public health activities are increasingly referred to as One Health. We are interested in investigating the economic benefits of increased collaboration and resource sharing in this context.
The project aims to develop a general framework for economic evaluation of surveillance for One Health and to conduct case studies to validate the approach. Case studies will be conducted in Europe and in developing countries.
