SAFOSO together with two additional consultants supported the World Bank in establishing an Action Plan for the National Service of Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection in Georgia. The Action Plan covered areas affecting the entire National Service, as well as areas specific to food safety, veterinary (animal health) and plant protection. The Action Plan was developed based on the results of a stakeholder workshop, during which the current situation, national needs and international requirements were compared, gaps were identified and possible solutions were elaborated.
