Dr Buncic has worked as a food safety specialist in Europe and in New Zealand. His main contributions are in support of evidence-based approaches to food safety and meat inspection. He is also an expert in meat processing and integrated food safety management. His book “Integrated Food Safety and Veterinary Public Health” is a key reference and teaching resource in the field. Sava has served as a Member of the Scientific Panel on Biological Hazards of the European Food Safety Authority- EFSA. He is an Editor of relevant scientific journals in the field of food safety. Since 2015, in addition to serving as a consultant for SAFOSO, Dr Buncic also works as a private consultant for ABSEES (http://absees-editorial.my-free.website/).
