Patrik Buholzer studied biochemistry and organic chemistry at the University of Applied Science, Zurich and holds an executive MBA from the University St. Gallen.
Patrik has more than 15 years of experience in production animal diseases. He worked for different international diagnostic companies and has in particular a profound knowledge in veterinary diagnostic and its application in different settings. In his career he successfully managed many projects with private industrial and governmental partners, as well as with partners from institutions all over the world. Patrik joined SAFOSO in August 2019 as Director.
His sound scientific and economic background, paired with his broad international experience and network, allows him to find appropriate solutions to animal health and food safety challenges, by involving all stakeholders and taking different aspects, needs and capabilities into account.
