Petra Muellner
Dr. med. vet., MSc, PhD, MANZCVS, Dipl. ECVPH
Petra Muellner is a veterinary public health specialist. Her experience comes from a diverse set of projects and programmes aimed at the detection, prevention and control of diseases in both humans and animals. She holds academic qualifications in veterinary and medical epidemiology and has previously worked as Senior Advisor (Risk Assessment) at the New Zealand Food Safety Authority and Senior Lecturer (Veterinary Epidemiology) at the EpiCentre, Massey University. Petra acts as a reviewer for several scientific journals and has recently joined the Editorial Advisory Board of Preventive Veterinary Medicine. Along with her project-based activities, she has a passion for teaching from entry to advanced level and enjoys utilising interdisciplinary approaches to find the best solutions for her clients.
Petra is Director of Epi-interactive, a New Zealand-based company providing consultancy, research and training in a wide range of subjects related to disease epidemiology and veterinary public health. Through combining subject matter expertise with information technology and media education tools, Epi-interactive also provides innovative solutions for training and information management.
